Equestrian 4-H Club
Brazos County, Texas
Leadership, Learning, and Community Service
With horses as our focus
Who We Are
We are an active club consisting of members from age 9 (or 8 and in the 3rd grade) to 18, with an ambitious group of adult leaders from the academic, business, farming and ranching community who bring diverse knowledge and experience to the membership. We are strong in the horse judging forum with multiple county and major stock show wins and awards.
Our members have experience with numerous horse-based projects, and our 4-H ties involve us in raising rabbits, dogs and livestock. County Round-Up finds our members reciting poetry, singing, giving demonstrations, modeling fashions, or exhibiting photography. Special emphasis is placed on leadership and teamwork in all we do. Members learn public speaking, personal presentation and organization skills.
Our community service activities include participating in the B/CS Holiday Parade, singing and playing bingo with nursing home residents, sending care packages to troops in war zones and providing gifts to underprivileged children.
As a group we focus on family involvement, learning, and raising blue ribbon kids while developing friendships that last a lifetime.
